Summary: |
This Advisory Circular (AC) provides guidance and an example means of compliance for performing a probability of failure analysis in accordance with Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations (14 CFR) 450.131. A flight safety analysis that accounts for vehicle failure probability is required for launch or reentry in accordance with § 450.113(a). Such an analysis is required under most circumstances for all phases of flight. This AC is intended to assist prospective applicants and operators in performing a probability of failure analysis in compliance with § 450.131. |
