A special message from the Director -
Phyllis Reinhard:

Welcome to the wonderful and exciting world of early childhood education! The Little Flyers Academy is a non-profit Child Care Center, formally called the NAFEC Association Childcare Center. It has been in operation since 1989.

It is our mission to provide your child with a safe, nurturing environment in which to learn and grow. At Little Flyers Academy your child will be given the opportunity to develop physically, socially, emotionally and intellectually at his/her own pace.

Children 6 weeks through Pre-kindergarten will have the opportunity to explore the world around them. Preschool education lays the foundation for your child's future school success. Allow us to open the door to a positive attitude towards learning.

Hours of operation are: 7:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday through Friday.

If you are interested in your child becoming part of our family please contact Ms. Phyllis Reinhard at 609-485-5429.

The LFA follows a developmentally appropriate "hands-on" curriculum. Teachers who are experienced in the development and education of young children will be teaching your child. The low staff ratios allow for lots of individual attention.

In a caring and positive atmosphere, we create a warm and happy place for your child to learn and grow. As we bridge the gap from home to school, we guide children towards developing good self-esteem, at the same time building social skills. Sensory, motor, perceptual and language skills are introduced through “hands-on” materials and activities that are both child-centered and teacher directed. Activities are planned that emphasize the process rather than the product, fostering a sense of accomplishment and pride.

Based on the theory that children learn through play, classroom routines encourage active involvement, meaningful experimentation and reinforcement through repetition. Schedules are designed which balance structure and free choice, as well as active and quiet times.

Our classrooms are taught by qualified teachers who are experienced in the development and education of young children. Our low staff-student ratios allow for lots of individual attention.

Children 6 weeks through pre-kindergarten age will have the opportunity to explore the world around them. We strive to enrich your child's world by offering growth experiences in various areas, including:

  • Art
  • Cooking
  • Computers
  • Language Arts
  • Movement
  • Music
  • Out Door Play
  • Science & Math
  • Socialization Skills
  • Much more fun stuff!

Toddler's Room

Your toddler will be cared for in a warm, loving environment that allows for individual play, creative expression, exploration of their environment.

Three & Four Year's Room

Your child will make new friends and have lots of fun as they emerge themselves into a "full" preschool curriculum. Watch their eyes light up as they repeat a new song or share the results of a science experiment!

Pre-Kindergarten Class

Our pre-kindergarten curriculum is overflowing with pre-reading and pre-writing readiness skills. This class will help prepare your child's transition from pre-school to kindergarten, fostering independence and a love for learning.
