Community Engagement - San Juan, P.R.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has completed a modification to the controlled airspace around Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU) in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The modification, published on July 11, 2024, expands the area where pilots interact with FAA Air Traffic Controllers. No changes have been made to existing flight paths. The airspace change will improve the FAA’s ability to manage the complexity and volume of aviation activities around SJU and Fernando Luis Ribas Dominicci Airport (SIG) in San Juan.

A public meeting was held on February 28, 2023. The session’s agenda included a presentation of flight procedures and proposed airspace changes, public presentations, and a Q&A with invited panelists. You can view that here: youtube.com/watch?v=abEbJ1QJQzc
