Submitting Aeronautical Data

The table below provides guidance on which FAA system and form to use to submit aeronautical data.

LANDING FACILITY DATA

Use the Airport Data Change (Military) Form via the Aeronautical Information Portal website.

NOTE: : Military NAVAID and Military Air Traffic Facility data may only be submitted via the online 7900 forms. See form links below.

CIVILIAN Changes to:

NOTE: For approach lighting, runway lighting, VGSI, or RVR changes please submit via theVGSI/Airport Lighting/RVR Data Form, FAA Form 7900-14.

Use the Airport Data Change (Public/Private Use) Form via the Aeronautical Information Portal website.
CIVILIAN Changes to:
  • Location Identifiers (LOCID)
See FAA Order 7350.9 for guidance about revising LOCID. If Order requirements are met, submit request with the Airport Data Change (Public/Private Use) Form via the Aeronautical Information Portal website.

NOTE: New landing facilities are automatically assigned location identifiers based on the criteria in the Order. Location identifiers are not reserved in advance.

CIVILIAN Changes to:
  • Airport Diagram
  • Airport Sketch
Use the Aeronautical Chart Change Form via the Aeronautical Information Portal website.

NOTE: This form should only be used to submit non-data related changes (taxiway identification, ramp location, hangar location, etc.) for revision to the airport charts. Data related changes (runway coordinates, elevations, runway numbers, etc.) should be submitted via FAA Office of Airports Airport Data and Information Portal (ADIP). Upon publication of data, charts will automatically be revised.

Use the Instrument Landing System (ILS) Data Form, FAA Form 7900-6.
Military Training Routes Use the Military Training Route (MTR) Data Form (PDF), FAA Form 7110-4. This form is accessed by logging on to the Aeronautical Information Portal and selecting the form under the "Additional Forms" section on the home page. Submit as an attachment via the Aeronautical Chart Change form on the Aeronautical Information Portal.

NOTE: This form must be completed by federal government employees only.
