The FAA sponsored a multi-disciplinary subject matter expert work group to investigate the issues associated with human fatigue in maintenance and the practical science-based methods that can be used to manage fatigue risk. The work group involved industry, labor, research, and government personnel. As a result of the multi-disciplinary group's work, you will find an abundance of fatigue information that specifically applies to aviation maintenance personnel.
