Guidance for Foreign State Instrument Flight Procedure and Airport Review

The FAA will soon issue a Notice to discontinue its review and approval process for foreign Required Navigation Performance (RNP) Authorization Required (AR) procedures (OpSpec C384 Table 2) and foreign CAT II/III airport facilities (OpSpec C060 Table 3). OpSpec C060 Table 3 and OpSpec C384 Table 3 will be removed by FAA Notice. In addition, OpSpec C058, Special Restriction for Foreign Instrument Procedures, will be discontinued.
Foreign RNP AR procedure and foreign CAT II/III airport facilities design has matured to the point that FAA approval is no longer required.

FAA Safety Assurance offices will not be required to approve operators for use of specific foreign procedures/foreign airports. A Notice and FAA Order 8900.1 revision will soon be issued to explain these changes.

A revision to Advisory Circular 120-105, Foreign Terminal Procedures (FTIP) Acceptance/Review, will be released concurrent with this change.

All approved foreign RNP AR procedures and approved foreign CAT II/III facilities on our spreadsheets on this page can be used as a base line for operators to create their own internal lists. The spreadsheets below are available for download for 90 days after Notice release.
