Requirements To Become An AME
Physicians must complete an application in the online application system, The Designee Management System (DMS). You must be a MD or Do for your application to be considered. You will be contacted only if there is a need for an additional AME in the area of the requested clinic address. You must update your application at least once per year for the application to remain active on the selection list.
If your application is selected, the training requirements must be met before you can be a designated AME. There are two online prerequisite courses and attendance at the AME Basic Seminar held in Oklahoma City. Prerequisites must be completed before the physician can be invited to the AME Basic Seminar.
