Directions to this Office
The office is located on the west side of the Indianapolis International Airport (IND). From Interstate 70, take the Ronald Reagan Parkway (Exit 68) North to Stafford Road. Turn left on Stafford Road and then turn left on Columbia Road (first road on left). The FSDO Office is approximately 1/2 mile on the left.
From West Washington Street (SR 40) take the Ronald Reagan Parkway South to Stafford Road, turn right on Stafford Road and then left on Columbia Road (first road on left). The FSDO Office is approximately 1/2 mile on the left.
- FAA Safety Team (FAASTeam)
- To report an accident or incident outside of our normal business hours of 7:30 A.M–4:00 P.M., Monday through Friday, including holidays, please call the Regional Operations Center at 1-817-222-5006.
- Noise complaints and inquiries, including FAA's noise complaint inquiry policy. Complaints can be directly submitted via the Noise Portal.
- Low flying aircraft information (PDF). Complaints can be submitted to the IND FSDO office via this form. (PDF).
The Indianapolis Flight Standards Office is open by appointment only.

IACRA
The Indianapolis FSDO supports and highly encourages the public's use of IACRA. IACRA can expedite the process of most certificate issuances in conjunction with your appointment at our office. - Until further notice, the Indianapolis Flight Standards Office is not accepting appointments for the following Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE) functions:
- Remote Pilot Certificates
- Foreign Pilots
- Verification of Authenticity of a Foreign License/Medical (FAA Letter of Authenticity)
- CFI Renewals
- Private Pilot Certificate Based on Foreign Certificate
- Military Competency
- SIC Type Rating Applications
- SOE restriction removals
- Restricted ATP limitation removal
- Student pilot certificates (seeking Private or Sport privileges)
- Ground Instructor applications (Basic, Advanced and Instrument)

- The Indianapolis FSDO also supports the use of the Civil Aviation Registry Electronic Services (CARES) website for individual aircraft owners. Click on the ‘Sign In/Register’ link in the top right corner to utilize the site.

Aviation Safety Knowledge Management Environment (ASKME) Airworthiness Certification (AWC) automates and expedites the process of airworthiness requests from the public and FAA designees. The Indianapolis FSDO supports and highly encourages public and designee use of AWC.
