The Air Transportation Division is responsible for regulations and policy recommendations governing certification and operations aspects of air carriers and commercial operators of large aircraft. air agencies (aircraft dispatcher, flight engineer, and flight navigator-approved schools); and air carrier airmen (airline transport pilots, aircraft dispatchers, flight engineers, and flight navigators). It is also responsible for management and oversight of the National Simulator Program (NSP) and air taxi insurance certification function.
The Air Transportation Division provides recommendations governing certification and operation of:
