Review the Aeronautical Data Team Cut-Off Dates for submission of chart changes.
The FAA collects and maintains data used to create United States Government civil and military aeronautical charts and publications. The FAA uses this data to provide situational awareness to pilots and ensure navigational safety.
For the situational awareness of pilots, it is absolutely imperative that aeronautical data on charts, diagrams, and publications be accurate and current. In particular, Airport Diagrams provided in the Terminal Procedures Publication (TPP) and the Chart Supplement (CS) play an important role in the Agency's Runway Safety Program. The Aeronautical Chart Change form is intended for verified users to submit source information to the FAA that affects these products.
The Aeronautical Chart Change form should be used to submit data changes for U.S. Government charts and publications including, but not limited to, the following:
- Airport Diagrams and Sketches
- Supplemental Charts and Publications
- Military Training Routes
- 8260-2 Forms (for Military Procedures, Special Procedures, and ATC Fixes)
Please use the Aeronautical Inquiry form to report charting errors or discrepancies.
Information changes to the chart supplement series come from a variety of sources. Information published in the Airport Facility Directory (excluding airport sketch blocks) is generated from Aeronautical Information Services data. All changes to this portion of the publication must be submitted as an Aeronautical Data Change. Any content not covered in the Airport Facility Directory section of the supplements must be submitted as an Aeronautical Chart Change. There are 2 different components of information related to an Aeronautical Chart Change for the Chart Supplements; these are Airport Diagrams and sketches, and Supplemental Charts and publications. It is incumbent on the proponent to ensure they understand the Criteria and Requirements for submitting changes to the Supplemental Charts and publications portion of the Aeronautical Chart Change. If any user of the Chart Supplement product finds an error, or has any questions, please submit an Aeronautical Inquiry.
