Description

This AC contains the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) standards and recommendations for the geometric layout and engineering design of runways, taxiways, aprons, and other facilities at civil airports. This substantial revision fully incorporates all previous changes to AC 150/5300-13A as well as new standards and technical requirements.

AC 150/5300-13B cancelled the following Engineering Briefs (EBs):

  1. EB 63B - Taxiways for Airbus A380 Taxiing Operations
  2. EB 73 - Use of Non-Standard 75-Foot- (23-M) Wide Straight Taxiway Sections for Boeing 747-8 Taxiing Operations
  3. EB 78 - Linear Equations for Evaluating the Separation of Airplane Design Groups on Parallel Taxiways and Taxiways to Fixed/Movable Objects
  4. EB 99A - Changes to Tables 3-2 and 3-4 of Advisory Circular 150/5300-13A, Airport Design

Change 1 cancels the following Engineering Briefs (EBs):

  1. EB 65A - Use of 150-Foot (45-M) Wide Runways for Airbus A380 Operations
  2. EB 74A - Use of 150-foot (45-M) Wide Runways and Blast Pads for Boeing 747-8 Operations
