Administer, investigate, and enforce safety regulations and standards for the production, operation, maintenance, and modification of all aircraft flying today.

What you need to qualify:
General Aviation, Rotocraft
- Commercial Pilot w/Instrument Rating
- Total Flight Time: 1,500 hours (if rotary, 1,000 in helicopters; 200 giving instruction; 100 w/in the past year)
Air Carrier
- Above requirements + ATP
- 1 yr.+ as pilot of a multi-engine aircraft with 12,500 lbs.+ takeoff weight
All operations positions require a valid 2nd class medical

Aerospace engineers work in a wide range of areas to design, invent, and innovate technology, structures, and processes, and to find practical solutions to current and future aviation needs.
What you need to qualify:
- Any engineering degree (ABET-accredited) with coursework in differential and integral calculus + courses in five of these seven areas:
- (a) statics, dynamics; (b) strength of materials (stress-strain relationships); (c) fluid mechanics, hydraulics; (d) thermodynamics; (e) electrical fields and circuits; (f) nature and properties of materials (relating particle and aggregate structure to properties); and (g) any other comparable area of fundamental engineering science or physics, such as optics, heat transfer, soil mechanics, or electronics
- A combination of college education and/or equivalent experience

Pilots inspect navigation systems, test new equipment at airports across the U.S. and overseas and support both civilian and military flights in all weather. Pilots test new flight technologies and procedures to make sure they’re safe for public use. In emergencies, FAA pilots step in to support critical missions and emergency response.

Flight surgeons, medical officers, and physicians develop and manage medical programs in support of aviation safety, including Airman Medical Certification, the Aviation Medical Examiner Program, Air Traffic Control Specialist, Applicant Examination Program, and the Internal Substance Abuse Program.
What you need to qualify:
- Degree: Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine or equivalent from a school in the United States or Canada.
- Current, active, full and unrestricted license or registration as a physician from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States
- Three (3) years of graduate training in the specialty of the position to be filled (occupational medicine or aerospace medicine) or equivalent experience and training

Psychologists apply psychological principles and methodologies to promote the safety, health, and performance of aviation personnel. FAA psychologists assess and support the mental and behavioral fitness of pilots, air traffic controllers, and other key aviation staff to ensure they perform their duties safely and effectively within high-stakes environments.
What you need to qualify:
- Degree: Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in psychology from an accredited program.
- Current, active, and valid state licensure as a clinical psychologist or an equivalent credential to practice psychology from a state, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States

Drug & Alcohol Compliance & Enforcement Inspectors support its mission in providing critical oversight and inspections of pilots, air traffic controllers, and other mission critical positions for the FAA, industry, and the flying public. This position is important in support of aviation safety, investigative efforts, and regulatory compliance.
What you need to qualify:
- Degree: Bachelor's degree in any field, gained from an accredited college or university.
- At least three (3) years of progressively responsible general work experience demonstrating the ability to analyze problems to identify factors, gather pertinent data/information, recognize problems and/or solutions, plan and organize work and effective communication. At least one (1) year of experience must be equivalent to the FG/GS-4 level work in the administrative, professional, technical, investigative or comparable work area.

A: Yes, interviews will be held in-person at the Oshkosh SEECH Center. Your interview confirmation will specify the format and provide any necessary links or directions.

A: After your interview, the hiring team will review all candidates and contact you with the next steps. For some positions, you may receive a tentative offer letter inviting you to a second interview or additional assessment. This process can take a few days to a couple of weeks.
