Directions to this Office
The Rochester FSDO is located adjacent to the Greater Rochester International Airport on Airport Way.
Once you've found the airport, turn right onto Airport Way, the street just before you reach the terminal. Our office is located on the first floor of the three-story USAirports building marked with the time and temperature.
Note: You must have an appointment and present a photo ID in order to be permitted entrance into the Rochester FSDO.
Flying in? - You'll need to know the following:
When you land at the Greater Rochester International Airport (ROC), notify ground control that you will be visiting the FAA Flight Standards office and need to be directed to parking at USAirports on the west ramp.
If you're flying in from Canada, be sure to allow time for clearing U.S. Customs.

Until further notice, all "Experimental Homebuilt" aircraft certifications will be performed by a Designated Airworthiness Representative (DAR). The Rochester FSDO is unable to assist builders with these aircraft certifications.

Guidelines For Foreign A&P Applicants
- All foreign mechanics requesting U.S. Airframe and Powerplant authorizations should contact an International Field Office (IFO)

Guidelines For Foreign Pilot Applicants
All foreign pilots who wish to obtain a U. S. pilot's certificate must obtain a Verification Letter from the Airman Certification Branch in Oklahoma City, OK prior to receiving the U. S. certificate.
