Noise Control and Compatibility Planning for Airports
Provides general guidance for noise control and compatibility planning for airports as well as specific guidance for preparation of airport noise exposure maps and airport noise compatibility programs by airport operators for submission under Title 14, Code of Federal Regulations, Part 150, and the Aviation Safety and Noise Abatement Act of 1979. Contains an expanded Table of Land Uses Normally Compatible with Various Levels of Noise.

Provides guidance for the preparation of airport master plans that range in size and function from small general aviation to large commercial service facilities. Development of State Standards for Nonprimary Airports
Provides guidelines for the development of State standards for and the use of State highway specifications for pavement construction at nonprimary public-use airports as provided for in title 49 United States Code (USC), Sections 47105(c) and 47114(d)(5), respectively.
Architectural, Engineering, and Planning Consultant Services for Airport Grant Projects
This AC provides guidance for airport sponsors in the selection and engagement of architectural, engineering, and planning consultants. It also discusses services that normally would be included in an airport grant project, types of contracts for these services, contract format and provisions, and guidelines for determining the reasonableness of consultant fees. Please see the Principal Changes paragraph for a list of major changes from the last version of this AC.
Land Acquisition and Relocation Assistance for Airport Improvement Program Assisted Projects (Consolidated through Change 7)
Provides guidance to sponsors of airport projects developed under the Airport Improvement Program (AIP) to meet the requirements of the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies Act of 1970 (PL 91-646, as amended) and the Regulations of the Office of the Secretary of Transportation, 49 CFR Part 24. State Block Grant Program
This AC provides guidance for application to and implementation of the State Block Grant Program (SBGP). It is intended for states and airport sponsors who participate, or plan to participate, in the SBGP.
Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs) for Airport Operators
This AC provides guidance on using the NOTAM system for reporting airport facilities changes or outages and for utilizing the Runway Condition Assessment Matrix for airport condition reporting. This AC prescribes procedures used to describe, format, and disseminate information on unanticipated or temporary changes to components of, or hazards in, the National Airspace System (NAS).
Airport Field Condition Assessments and Winter Operations Safety
This AC provides guidance to assist airport operators in developing a snow and ice control plan, assessing and reporting airport conditions through the utilization of the Runway Condition Assessment Matrix (RCAM), and establishing snow removal and control procedures. Consolidated version includes Change 1.
For implementation purposes, all certificated airports must submit revised Snow and Ice Control Plans to the FAA no later than September 1, 2016, for approval. The Federal NOTAM System is the primary means of conveying airport condition information by certificated and federally obligated airports. Effective October 1, 2016, the Federal NOTAM System will incorporate the new reporting criteria and methodology contained in this AC.
Airport Emergency Plan (Consolidated AC includes Change 2)
Provides guidance to the airport operator in the development and implementation of an Airport Emergency Plan (AEP). The AEP addresses essential emergency related and deliberate actions planned to ensure the safety of and emergency services for the airport populace and the community in which the airport is located.
Consolidated file includes Change 2 dated 11/3/2010. Change 2 updates the date by which AEPs must be submitted to June 30, 2011.
Painting, Marking, and Lighting of Vehicles Used on an Airport
Provides guidance, specifications, and standards for painting, marking, and lighting of ground vehicles operating in the airport air operations area (AOA). The approved lights, colors, and markings described in the AC assure the conspicuity of vehicles operating in the AOA from both the ground and the air. The AC contains new specifications and recommendations for the painting, marking, and lighting of Towbarless Tow Vehicles (TLTVs).

Aircraft Boarding Equipment
Contains the FAA's performance standards, specifications, and recommendations for the design, manufacture, testing and maintenance of equipment used in the boarding of airline passengers. The physical area covered in this AC is that which is bounded by the door of the passenger terminal area, on one end, to the door of the aircraft, on the other end. Although this AC refers only to aircraft boarding (enplaning), all references apply equally to disembarking (deplaning) with the described procedures occurring in reverse order.
The previous version of this AC discussed only the passenger lift scenario and associated equipment. This document updates that effort and addresses the other methods and equipment used to board an aircraft, including passenger boarding bridges, ramps, lifts, and aircraft boarding chairs.
