PackSafe - Items Not Otherwise Listed on the PackSafe Chart

Before you pack your bag, identify any items that may potentially be a dangerous good (also known as hazardous materials). First aid, cleaning supplies, electronics or safety equipment are all possible dangerous goods.

A manufacturer’s SAFETY DATA SHEET (SDS) is a good next step for additional details.

Most products have an SDS, which can usually be found on the manufacturer’s website. The TRANSPORTATION information section of the SDS typically shows whether items are considered dangerous goods (also known as hazardous materials). If your item is NOT a dangerous good, then it is GOOD TO GO! Additional TSA restrictions may exist and can be found on the TSA Prohibited Items page.

If your item is a dangerous good, then it is considered to be regulated for transportation and is NOT ALLOWED ON A PASSENGER AIRCRAFT in checked or carry-on baggage. There are some exceptions for passengers and crew members which we highlight in the other entries on the PackSafe chart.
