Informal Pacific ATC Coordinating Group (IPACG)
The IPACG provides an opportunity for air traffic service (ATS) providers and airspace operators to informally meet and explore solutions to near-term ATC problems that limit capacity or efficiency in the Anchorage, Fukuoka and Oakland Oceanic Flight Information Regions (FIRs). IPACG is jointly sponsored by the Japan Civil Aviation Bureau (JCAB) and the United States Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

Upcoming IPACG Meetings
The Japanese Civil Aviation Bureau (JCAB) will host both the 50th Informal Pacific ATC Coordinating Group (IPACG/50) Meeting and the 37th FANS Interoperability Team (FIT/37) Meeting in 2026, with the specific time and location to be determined.
This milestone gathering marks nearly forty years of productive aviation partnership between the United States and Japan. Since the FAA and JCAB began co-sponsoring IPACG in 1989, it has established itself as the leading platform for improving air traffic control operations throughout the Anchorage, Fukuoka, and Oakland oceanic flight information regions.
The 50th IPACG meeting represents a critical moment for regional aviation partners to develop improved oceanic air traffic management strategies while maintaining the spirit of cooperation that has supported Pacific aviation operations for the past several decades.
